Siân and Thomas Dibley
Lourí is a range of hand-made straps designed to facilitate packless cycling. Mount inner-tubes, Co2, jackets, water bottles and more to your frame or saddle with the aid of an elasticated pre-load system for easy installation. Initially launching with two models in one colour (black), the brand plans more models and colours in the near future such as more strap designs as well as packless hydration solutions.
Cyclorise co-owner Siân Dibley says “The appeal of heading out on your bike without a riding pack is a draw for an increasing number of cyclists. We listened to our existing customers and created Lourí to satisfy their needs. I am so proud Lourí is made in the UK and represents not only quality and high-function, but good value for money.
The range is made for Cyclorise Ltd by an established British manufacturer of cycle luggage. The brand positions themselves with a focus on UK-manufacture, quality, attention to detail and availability with a keen pricing structure.
Lourí is available now on Cyclorise.com for pre-sales with an estimated lead time of ten weeks. To thank early investors for their support, Cyclorise are offering 40% off any pre-orders until launch.
Further imagery and specification details will be published on the Cyclorise.com website over the coming weeks.

SMOOVE is the best dry chain lube on the planet. It offers long-mileage protection like a thick wet lubricant while remaining clean to the touch and offering crisp, impeccable shifting.
Though, to really get the most of SMOOVE it's best to apply it correctly, especially the first time you apply it. Applying over old chain lube or to a damp chain won't allow SMOOVE to work as it should. Now, while you can 'top up' occasionally if you wish, it's important to ensure the first application is done to totally stripped back chain that is completely dry.
Degrease and dry: Use a strong degreaser, like a liquid citrus degreaser. Then ensure the chain is totally dry. Best to leave the bike in a mild - warm environment.
Applying to a wet chain won't allow SMOOVE to properly penetrate the pins and links while applying to a chain with some moisture residue can lead to a chain that sets overly sticky. SMOOVE lays a very hard base layer to protect your drivetrain from wear, so this prep is important.
Here are a few steps to application and a video if you fancy watching me apply SMOOVE to my bike.
Step 1 > Apply SMOOVE to a clean dry chain.
Step 2 > Apply on the inside of the chain while turning the pedals to ensure that the lube gets worked into the chain. You'll know you've applied enough when lube is 'webbing' from pin to pin and squeezes out from behind the plates when you twist the chain slightly by hand. Once you reach this point, keep pedalling backwards for another 10-15 times to ensure it's all worked in as well as possible.
Step 3 > Let the lube dry for at least an hour.
Step 4 > Best results are achieved if lube is applied the night before.
Step 5 > Do not wipe chain after application.
Step 6 > Too much lube will cause residue to accumulate around the derailleur pulley wheels and cassette.
Australian publication CyclingTips.com’s David Rome publishes his favourite ten products of 2017. Although it’s not surprising to see, it is certainly a pleasure to see SMOOVE impressed him so much.
...”It might be too early to call this one, but after a couple months of use, I’m pretty impressed with this South African chain lube.
A new kid on the block compared to veteran chain lube Squirt – also from South Africa – Smoove is slowly growing with little more than word of mouth. And the fact that it’s disrupting a market where Squirt originated from should be telling.
I first crossed paths with the name when covering the Absa Cape Epic a few years back. At the time, a local mechanic told me it was his secret weapon and out-performed Squirt in trying conditions.
While I’ve yet to see any supporting lab data, I can attest to it doing exactly as its name suggests. My shifting has never been smoother, my drivetrain is muted, and the durability is extremely impressive. Add to that the dry, clean running with only a little build-up and it gets on this list...”

We know SMOOVE is an awesome lube. We wouldn't range it otherwise, but preaching the story and convincing riders to give it a go is a massive challenge. After all, how exciting can a chain lube be?!
SMOOVE is super smooth...really hard wearing...crisp and clean...yadda yadda yadda. Doesn't every lube brand tell the same story?
Well not strictly. A brand should focus on their strengths and avoid the weaknesses. Unless of course a lube doesn't have a weakness. But no chain lube can be perfect for everything. Right? Well SMOOVE make some mighty claims, stating it lasts for "hundreds of miles" between applications. It is really clean to the touch, enhances gear shifting and protects your drivetrain for the long haul. What's the downside?
Both BikeRadar.com and Road.cc released their reviews of SMOOVE Universal Chain Lubricant over the last two weeks and the results are fantastic. Turns out SMOOVE's claims are true. So if you want to try a GAME-CHANGING chain lube...well, LEARN MORE HERE.
