We are so excited to announce that SMOOVE has decided to allow us at Cyclorise to represent them in the UK. Here's the press release...
"South Africa’s fastest growing chain lube brand comes to the UK with Cyclorise Ltd. In South Africa, SMOOVE commands a massive 60% share of the lube market and 50% of the top teams in the 2016 Cape Epic were using SMOOVE. The Cape Epic is renowned for destroying drivetrains, so what better testing ground.
Ruan Deyzel created SMOOVE specifically for this purpose, spending three years with 30 top riders creating a lubricant that can withstand harsh conditions and high mileage between applications. A single application of SMOOVE will last the entire stage-event without the need for mid-ride applications like other lubes. SMOOVE will drastically extend the life of a drivetrain, while ensuring clean and silent running for hundreds of miles.
Thomas Dibley of Cyclorise Ltd said “We were hunting high and low for a consumable brand that would help us take the business to the next level. We demand only the best performing products in any specific category and SMOOVE hits the nail on the head. The performance has bowled us and the ambassadors we have had testing it away and we love the company behind it. Ruan bleeds enthusiasm and passion for his product and cycling, we couldn’t be happier with this new partnership”.
While already established and dominant in South Africa, SMOOVE has just launched distribution in Australia, the USA and now in the UK.
Ruan Deyzel, owner of SMOOVE said “We are extremely pleased to announce that Cyclorise Ltd is the exclusive distributor for SMOOVE in the UK. We believe that SMOOVE will be a big hit in the UK market because of the products all weather and extreme durability capabilities. Cyclorise share the same energy and passion that we have for cycling and have full confidence that they will make SMOOVE a huge success!”
We love it when customers share their experiences with us of them using our products. Simon Lay bought a Race Strap and headed off to the other side of the globe and put it through its paces. Here are his words...
"I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical about the Backcountry Research "Race Strap". I love an MTB gadget, but this just looks like a bit of Velcro which apparently performs the same job (holding an inner-tube under my saddle) as a couple of bits of gaffer tape. But, I figured I would give one a go, in a race, on the other side of the world.
The Pioneer is in its second year and took as over 550km in 7 days with 16,000m of climbing and descending as we crossed the Southern Alps in New Zealand. Virtually all of the riding was off road and some of the descents were up to 14km long down fast rolling, bumpy, rock strewn tracks taken at up to 70kph.
My tube, tyre levers and CO2 cylinders stayed safe and snug under my saddle, ready for use and never once shifting - no matter how hard the Sixth Element carbon 29er wheels of my hardtail smacked against the trail hazards.
The quality of the design and build on the Race Strap really impressed me. The simplicity of the idea plus the little touches like the clever velco locking system and the non-slip patches to add to the resilience of tool carrying really work.
It's not just a bit of velcro, it does a lot more and does it all very well indeed. Tried and tested under full on race conditions, I can't fault it."

We recently took delivery of StemCAPtain which has been selling like hot potatoes...i'm not sure that's the correct phrase. But anyway, ever since posting the first pictures on Instagram, customers have been chomping at the bit. We have received a few questions in regards fitting a StemCAPtain clock or thermometer.
Well, it really couldn't be easier. I even made a video to you show you. Check that out below or read these simple steps:
When we launched Cyclorise, we always new we wanted to be different. Not just for the sake of being different, but because we wanted products that didn't conform to what we have been trained to expect from a product.
Products should work without compromise. OK, so sometimes it's impossible not to compromise somewhere, especially when it comes to multi-tools. We'd all love a pro-workshop following us around in a converted Ford F-350 Superduty, but that is just darn right impractical. So we need a tool that will do as many jobs as is practically possible while being compact, robust and customisable depending on the needs of each individual rider.
So Altum Designs of London launched a Kickstarter campaign to develop a tool (MTS) and tool roll system (MTR) to achieve just that. A steel hand tool with magnetic bits, magnetic tyre levers and enough strength to be brutal if needed while having an ergonomic shape to get deep into nooks and crannies. The MTS tool is £24.99 while the MTS & MTR System includes a feature-packed tool roll for £39.99.
We have just placed our first order and will be taking pre-sales over the weekend. Click on the banner below to see their campaign details on Kickstarter, or click HERE to view the range on Cyclorise.com.
